Guests rave about the authentic flavors, especially the lamb dishes, that remind them of Tunisia. Sabeh, the owner, captures attention with her friendly demeanor and culinary expertise, enhancing the dining experience. The baklava receives high praise for its rich flavor and perfect sweetness, while the Arabic coffee is a popular choice to round off meals. Many appreciate the cozy atmosphere and cleanliness, making it a great spot for both solo diners and small groups. The BYOB option adds to the appeal, allowing visitors to enjoy their preferred drinks without added costs.

Most Disliked

Some diners note that while the food is outstanding, a touch more seasoning could elevate certain dishes, creating an even more vibrant flavor profile. A few reviews mention the portion sizes, where some felt the seafood could be more generous. Additionally, reservations are recommended, but those without may face longer wait times, especially during busy weekends. A minor inconvenience mentioned was that corkage fees apply for drinks, prompting some to advise bringing larger bottles. Overall, these concerns do not overshadow the overall positive dining experience.

A True Taste of Tunisia in Moira!!! As someone from Tunisia, I can confidently say that the food at Cartahgo made me feel right at home. Every dish was filled with the rich, authentic Tunisian flavours I grew up with — truly a nostalgic and heartwarming experience. The quality of the food is outstanding, made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes that reflect genuine culinary craftsmanship. The restaurant has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere with a clean, well-kept interior and a lovely ambience that enhances the dining experience. A special thank you to Sabeh, the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and hospitable — her warm presence made the visit even more enjoyable. There’s also a great variety of dishes on the menu, offering something for everyone, whether you're new to Tunisian cuisine or already a fan. This place is a true gem in Moira . Had a delightfully authentic and scrumptious meal here this week. I've been to Tunisia many times and the food at Carthago was as good, if not better, than some of the meals I've had in Tunis. Sabeh was a delight and a superb cook! She sourced the best ingredients to closely replicate how it's done in Tunisia. She kept the restaurant open especially for us and was immensely charming and entertaining. An excellent ambassador for her country!! Have already spread the word about her place. Highly recommend.

Lovely place. Lots to like. Starters, dips, bread all excellent. Chicken fingers and (surprisingly) the Brie highlights from starters for me. Mains were good, very generous with amount of seafood and lamb on our respective dishes. Could maybe do with a touch more seasoning and finesse but satisfactory. Overall an excellent experience and decent value for the amount of food. Server (chef's daughter I believe) was excellent also, warm, friendly and informative. BYOB too which is a bonus (hint:if drinking beer, bring large bottles as corkage is per bottle)

Wonderful restaurant with a nice informal feel and the kindest host, whose passion for the food she cooks is 100% apparent when you meet her and, more importantly, taste the wonderful food. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome too.
